CBC and CUPE, your bias is showing.
This is a letter to the CBC from myself with a stark illustration of their anti-Israel prejuduce.

Dear Ms Alevato:
You, CBC and CUPE have exposed your political bias in the starkest way possible.
CBC ran sympathetic coverage of a York Region paramedic fired for hate propaganda. She spread blood libel, posting that Israel was “luring starving Palestinian children … so they can snipe them dead.”
Hate propaganda is not merely offensive — it is a criminal offence under Canadian law. And this particular charge, accusing Jews of killing children, is one of the oldest and most poisonous libels in history. It is not political speech. It is medieval hate propaganda, dangerous and false.
CUPE leapt to her defence with press releases, grievances, and press conferences. She lied — and she was treated as a victim.
Now contrast that with me. I was a professor and lecturer at the University of Guelph–Humber for fifteen years. I am 61 years old, with a stellar academic record in teaching, writing, and publications, as well as stellar student reviews. At my age, future employment in academia is almost impossible. Yet, I was suspended without any charges. My “crime”? Writing that Hamas are Nazis to a man in Pakistan on LinkedIn. Hamas is a designated terrorist group with historical Nazi ties through the Muslim Brotherhood. My comment was political, historically accurate, and protected speech.
Within hours, I was banned from campus, gagged under threat of $10,000 fines, humiliated in front of students, and defamed. Staff and faculty stopped students in the atrium to whisper that I had “assaulted a student.” Then came worse: accusations that I was a pedophile, a safety risk to children, a violent criminal. All lies. All bundled into a formal complaint signed by the vice-provost — the university’s top officer, and someone I had never met. Not one of my accusers has ever spoken to me. All of them hurled their defamations from behind a keyboard.
A month after this defamation began, it was clear this was not idle gossip. It was a planned character assassination. A saddened student confided, “I tried to defend you, but I couldn’t. Everyone believes you’re a criminal now.”
I contacted CBC repeatedly about this story. I also contacted the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, CTV, and Global. They all refused to cover it. They decided that a professor defamed, smeared, banned, and dismissed for condemning a terrorist organisation was not newsworthy.
The WSIB later ruled that the harassment I endured caused PTSD and was the university’s responsibility. The university’s response was to refuse to honour my medical leave. CUPE 3913’s response was silence. No grievance. No representation. No press release. Only sabotage — they even block me from giving evidence to the lawyer who will stand before the arbitrator in my case.
Two firings. Two unions. Two stories. She lied, and CUPE and CBC carried her on their shoulders. I told the truth, and they buried me.
This is not journalism. It is politics. This is not a representation. It is prejudice. And no reasonable person can look at this contrast and deny it.

Professor fired for saying he stood with Israel and calling Hamas Nazis. Not sure if Nazis took offence or Hamas.
If you believe in the importance of free speech, subscribe to support uncensored, fearless writing—the more people who pay, the more time I can devote to this. Free speech matters. I am a university professor who was suspended - now fired - due to a free speech issue, so I am not speaking from the bleachers.
I have written to CBC repeatedly since Oct. 7. Here is my most recent letter, sent by snail mail to each Board member and executive:
There was a time when I did not mind paying such high taxes in Canada because of federal support for CBC, for the arts and education. That has all changed since CBC became a mouthpiece for terrorists and those who think terrorists are downtrodden, but also wonderful human beings. Nahlah Ayed and other ‘hosts’ invite guests who find lots of reasons why Israel should be destroyed. They perpetuate the hatred that has infected the rest of the world since October of 2023. They do all of this with CBC’s blessing.
Israel makes mistakes, as every country does. It elects some bad people and some good people to be its leaders. In both Israel and the Diaspora, there are good Jews and bad Jews, as can be said of any population, minority, religion, or sect. They all choose life. Islamists, however, revere death. They cause as much of it among Israelis, Jews and their own people as they possibly can. They teach their children hatred of all ‘infidels’, especially of Jews. CBC makes their job easier by instigating, throughout Canada, hate crimes perpetrated by folks with mental health issues and thugs who enjoy violence for its own sake, people who fail to realize that they are the next target for the Islamists, people who believe everything they hear on CBC, everything they see on social media and TV.
The ancestors of today’s ‘Palestinians’ made a mistake when they walked away from their lives in Israel at the request of its Arab neighbors. Of course it galls their descendants to see how successful the new nation became, how much better life is for those Arabs who stayed in Israel. Their victimhood is a useful tool for leaders who depend on the world’s sympathy for the huge incomes they enjoy from its largesse. The peace they so often refused would have allowed the ‘Palestinians’ to prosper, but it was more fun to enjoy the adrenaline rush that hatred brings.
As for their supporters, the sense of community with other masked kefiyeh-wearers and the virtue signaling make their day. They will have a reckoning, as did the Germans after the Shoah. Those supporters will deny their complicity to themselves and to their grandchildren. Israelis and Jews will continue to thrive and to defend themselves. They have seen the alternative and it wasn’t pretty.
Thank you for speaking the Truth. What a sad state western nations have become. Especially Canada.
