I have written to CBC repeatedly since Oct. 7. Here is my most recent letter, sent by snail mail to each Board member and executive:
There was a time when I did not mind paying such high taxes in Canada because of federal support for CBC, for the arts and education. That has all changed since CBC became a mouthpiece for terrorists and those who think terrorists are downtrodden, but also wonderful human beings. Nahlah Ayed and other ‘hosts’ invite guests who find lots of reasons why Israel should be destroyed. They perpetuate the hatred that has infected the rest of the world since October of 2023. They do all of this with CBC’s blessing.
Israel makes mistakes, as every country does. It elects some bad people and some good people to be its leaders. In both Israel and the Diaspora, there are good Jews and bad Jews, as can be said of any population, minority, religion, or sect. They all choose life. Islamists, however, revere death. They cause as much of it among Israelis, Jews and their own people as they possibly can. They teach their children hatred of all ‘infidels’, especially of Jews. CBC makes their job easier by instigating, throughout Canada, hate crimes perpetrated by folks with mental health issues and thugs who enjoy violence for its own sake, people who fail to realize that they are the next target for the Islamists, people who believe everything they hear on CBC, everything they see on social media and TV.
The ancestors of today’s ‘Palestinians’ made a mistake when they walked away from their lives in Israel at the request of its Arab neighbors. Of course it galls their descendants to see how successful the new nation became, how much better life is for those Arabs who stayed in Israel. Their victimhood is a useful tool for leaders who depend on the world’s sympathy for the huge incomes they enjoy from its largesse. The peace they so often refused would have allowed the ‘Palestinians’ to prosper, but it was more fun to enjoy the adrenaline rush that hatred brings.
As for their supporters, the sense of community with other masked kefiyeh-wearers and the virtue signaling make their day. They will have a reckoning, as did the Germans after the Shoah. Those supporters will deny their complicity to themselves and to their grandchildren. Israelis and Jews will continue to thrive and to defend themselves. They have seen the alternative and it wasn’t pretty.

She was supported. Paul — older, male, white, rational, moral — was not. Justice cries out for the intersectional person, not Paul.
Canadian educational institutions, at all levels, need to be gutted, from the senior administrators to the actual professors in the universities and colleges. We need to start all over again. They are all unsalvageable at this point. America is making headway, but, Canada, I'm never going to place any bets on, until the country completely falls apart, economically and socially.

Perhaps she should be contacted and asked how she would prefer to be “decolonized” - after all, “decolonization is not just a metaphor”, and Oct 7 showed us just how glorious that decolonization can be, amirite? She can’t possibly argue with that logic.

Hate propaganda always works the same way. It takes a man, a neighbour, a colleague, and dissolves him into a category — a they. It dehumanizes, depersonalizes, and prepares the mob for the moment when “they” can be attacked without conscience. The transition from word to weapon is as natural as gravity.
History is a morgue filled with its echoes:
• Germany: before Dachau and Auschwitz, there was Der Stürmer. Before the trains, there were cartoons of Jews as rats, and physicians in white coats proving their “disease.” Before the fire, there was the word.
• Rwanda: before the genocide, Radio Mille Collines blared through the hills, calling Tutsis “cockroaches.” By the time the machetes were unsheathed, the mental work was already done.
• The Balkans: before Srebrenica, Serb radio roared with talk of “Islamic filth” polluting the land. The words stripped humanity away before bullets finished the job.
• Russia today: watch the Kremlin’s propagandists speak of Ukrainians as “vermin” or “Nazis.” Always the same dance: reduce them to a category, then give permission to kill.
And now, here in Canada, a paramedic declares that Jews lure children in order to kill them — one of the oldest libels in recorded history. This is not “controversial opinion.” It is the precise definition of hate propaganda. It is criminal. And yet, the state broadcaster softened it, excused it, declined to name it.
Let us be absolutely clear: hate propaganda is not merely offensive. It is accelerant. It is the overture before the orchestra of pogrom. To call it “controversial” is to stand at the edge of the fire and call it warm.
History teaches one lesson with the power of thunder: where such language is excused, tolerated, or dignified, the bodies always follow.
When my father was in high school, after WW2, maybe early ‘50’s, in New York, the history teacher gave lessons of real atrocities that occurred during the war to his students, some including video footage of Jews in large pits dug in ground, Jews moving dead bodies in wheelbarrows, bodies on the ground, piles of stolen suitcases and personal belongings, starving souls so thin you can see their skeleton, etc.
my father told me that several students got sick watching and had to leave the classroom. This teacher was not cancelled for doing their job: sharing the truth and a reminder of propaganda and history repeating. Today, they would just spin the woke narrative or cancel the teacher.
