Why Canada Has Gone 32 Years Without a Stanley Cup — and Why “Bad Luck” Is No Longer a Serious Explanation. (But why did my Fort Garry Rinky-Dinks almost take the Winnipeg city title? )
This is a great well explained article, in terms that I never thought of before. My worry is that this same situation is starting to show up in many companies and industries in Canada. I worked globally and 15 years ago - Canada was considered uncompetitive. If anything - it’s become worse. It’s far past time that Canadians wake up to the realities facing our country, and start making the hard choices necessary if we are to maintain the standard of living that our ancestors worked so hard for. Canada is a land blessed with so many natural advantages, but continuing to rely on government and blaming a U.S president is simply not going to get us far in the 21st century world.

You nailed it.
