I’d say you’ll get more subscribers if you keep prices low… Many of us want to subscribe to lots of accounts but we also don’t want to spend 100-150 a month on subs
The cheapest one I subscribe to is $11 USD, which is about $6 more than I charge, and he posts once a week. We will see if my overall revenue goes down; if so, it didn't work. Regardless, Substack doesn't provide enough money to cover even 20% of my mortgage.
I get that; I lost my job as well, so am not ready to subscribe. Here's hopes that will change soon for both of us.
