So glad you are addressing this! Why is there seemingly no discussion in the mainstream media about how the Liberals’ poaching of elected MPs is damaging democracy. No discussion of legal options to stop or control the process.

How about - floor crossing is only allowed after the MP holds a referendum/vote in their riding. If they do not receive a mandate to switch parties they should resign and run for the party of their choice.

Your post says upgrade for $3 per month. That I can fit into my budget as subscriptions keep growing. However, when I chose upgrade the least expensive option comes out to just over $10 / month. Sub-stack subscriptions are just getting too expensive.

Yes floor crossing never used to be a big issue. It is now. As a constituent in an area that elects a politician based on political values, I would be incensed at such a turncoat. Hopefully retribution will take place next election. We need many changes to our political system, including recall ability.
