I think the idea is simply to decide to think a certain way about situations, force yourself, with the hope being that it changes your feelings and, in turn, changes your beliefs. My only therapist now, and I haven't a lot of experience with this, is the one for PTSD, who was referred to me by the WSIB. It doesn't do any harm, and I won't do it forever, but I need to do it now for WSIB, not that WSIB pays out benefits or anything.
