A little good news, my dear. The appeal for the investigator's report (that was so partisan and unfounded that it was laughable, like a 12-year-old wrote it) will be shifted to the AVP at the U of Guelph. I wrote the draft, and the lawyers adapted it. Believe it or not, nobody in the unions or at Humber College had any issue with the prosecuter serving as a judge. If I hadn't fought like hell, that's how it would have been. Malice and stupidity are a toxic brew.
I remember reading about your story (i.e., travesty of justice) and sharing it far and wide (was it through The Future of Jewish?) and wishing/hoping for a way to show my support. I am glad I discovered your Substack last week and immediate became a paying subscriber as a means to thank you for being an upstander and not capitulating to such powerful forces. You are better than them!
Please note my beloved Malibu (the little Westie) in the photo. She came to school with my daughter. She watched me teach and got so anxious when nobody paid her attention. She pooped and ran out the door, up the stairs and onto the elevator, pursued by my daughter and a group of girls—poor little thing.
