The Canadian Universities that have chosen Hamas over Israel.
The University of Guelph, Humber College, the University of Guelph-Humber. They had a choice. They chose Hamas.

The Finlayson Affair: A Trial Without Justice
I am Paul Finlayson, a professor and lecturer of 14 years at the University of Guelph-Humber in Toronto. I have been suspended since November 27, 2023, for the crime of clarity: I posted, in response to a man publicly calling for the elimination of Israel, that “if you stand with Hamas, you stand with Nazis.”
That’s it. One sentence. No threats. No obscenities. No graffiti. Just historical truth delivered digitally. For this, I was gagged, banished, stripped of access, and cast into procedural limbo—all before a single formal charge appeared.
The eventual complaint came a month later, conveniently filed by Vice Provost Melanie Spence Ariemma and her ideological comrade, Professor Wael Ramadan—an Islamist propagandist whose day job involves teaching. (Photos below, in case irony needs a face.)
Their accusation? That my criticism of Hamas—a designated terrorist group that decapitates civilians and rapes women—constituted Islamophobia, incitement, and somehow, an implicit threat to children. Yes, apparently, insulting Hamas now means you pose a danger to minors.
But Ramadan and Spence-Ariemma weren’t content with merely suspending me. No, the mission was character assassination. On the very day I was suspended—before any human rights complaint had been filed—they and their administrative allies began feeding students wild fictions: that I had assaulted someone, that I’d been arrested, that my academic record was fraudulent.
Five students came forward, shocked and appalled, sharing screenshots and testimony. This wasn’t gossip—it was institutional defamation, coordinated and approved from the top. There was not a grain of truth in it. But facts were irrelevant. I had declared myself a supporter of Israel, and Ramadan’s rage, echoed gleefully by Spence-Ariemma and her DEI foot soldiers, was unleashed.
Finlayson had to go.
Jewish professors are permitted on campus, provided they remain silent. Those who openly defend Israel—or worse, fail to prostrate themselves before faculty antisemites—are to be banished, destroyed, humiliated. This is the unspoken rule, and I broke it.
On the day I was suspended, Spence-Ariemma reportedly called my post “disgusting” and told staff I would be terminated. That’s not adjudication—that’s a lynching. Faculty repeated the smear campaign to students. I have the names. I have the printouts. I have the witnesses.
What followed was a grotesque pantomime of due process: a so-called “external investigation” orchestrated by a Human Rights department that couldn’t define “human rights” if you spotted them the Charter. The final report—expensive, incoherent, and riddled with anonymous quotations—offered no dates, no witnesses, no evidence. My favorite charge? “He talked to two girls.” Apparently that now qualifies as threatening behavior.
I’ve never threatened anyone. But they didn’t need proof. They needed theatre. They needed a scapegoat.
Even before the sham investigation concluded, Interim President Rene Van Acker made it clear: “Finlayson should start looking for alternative employment.” The sentence had already been passed. This wasn’t an inquiry—it was a firing squad in slow motion.
I am a dues-paying member of two unions—OPSEU and CUPE—both of which have long-standing complaints against them for antisemitism and have publicly endorsed pro-Hamas, anti-Israel positions. Unsurprisingly, OPSEU Local 562 refused to help outright. CUPE 3913 offered nothing more than bureaucratic shrugging of the shoulders. Their leadership, including CUPE Ontario President Fred Hahn, is ideologically aligned with my accusers. They are management’s mirror, not its check.
Meanwhile, Ramadan, whose X account (@waelramadan1948) was a non-stop sewer of antisemitic filth, has faced no consequences. None. He has praised Hamas, called Jews subhuman, accused them of devil worship, denied the Holocaust, and posted propaganda so vile it makes Al-Manar look like NPR. He violated Canadian Criminal Code sections 318–320 (“hate propaganda”) dozens of times.
He has been the subject of three human rights complaints, yet he has never faced a single sanction, neither at Guelph-Humber nor at Sheridan College, where he also teaches. He was cleared in record time. Why? Because he’s protected. Because he hates the right people.
The university not only failed to protect my rights, but it also became the chief agent in my defamation. At times, their rare communications with me consist only of threats. Legal threats. Financial threats. Even police threats. Public Safety Officer Nancy Deason warned me that if I asked a staff member to stop calling me a criminal, I could be charged with criminal harassment.
Yes, really. Victimhood now comes with a gag order.
The WSIB, in its ruling, confirmed that the campaign of abuse directed at me by faculty, students, and management caused PTSD, for which they held the university fully responsible. I endured sleepless nights, harassment at home, and unmarked cars idling at the end of my driveway. The cost has been medical, psychological, and existential.
And yet I am told to be quiet. To accept this. To “reflect.” To “move on.”
No.
All the posts below are from @waelramadan1948. Every one of them is a criminal act under Canadian hate speech law. But when I attempted to report these violations to police, I was turned away. Why? Because I am not Jewish. Apparently, even the hate speech laws are intersectional now.
The links above contain full documentation. The evidence is not speculative. It is clear, direct, and grotesque.
Guelph-Humber supports Ramadan because Guelph-Humber supports Hamas. They have built an institutional culture in which Jews, or those who defend them, are the only identity group unworthy of protection.
This is not about a tweet. This is not about tone. This is about the grotesque institutionalisation of bigotry under the banner of virtue. And I will not go quietly.
Reshared video explicitly calling Jews “Satanists” and “sub-human,” mocking their intelligence.

The University has already spent over $400K on legal bills fighting me.
They are completely behind Spence-Ariemma and Ramadan. I have some legal options, though the union’s bad faith and refusal to render aid as my sole legal representative restrict me, the unions have a lot of power, and there is little legal escape when being crushed between anti-Semitic management and anti-Semitic unions.
It is difficult to fight as one man against multi-million-dollar organisations. May God judge them harshly.
Outside my university with Toby and Malibu. I was suddenly suspended some weeks later. The dogs had just been kicked out, but were prepared, both wearing prison uniforms already.
