The Canadian Universities that have chosen Hamas over Israel.
The University of Guelph, Humber College, the University of Guelph-Humber. They had a choice. They chose Hamas.

I am a university professor suspended because of a free speech issue, so I am not speaking from the bleachers. The button below takes you to that story.

The Facts
I am Paul Finlayson, a fourteen-year professor at the University of Guelph-Humber in Toronto. I have been suspended since November 27, 2023, following a social media post in which I expressed support for Israel and stated that “if you stand with Hamas, you stand with Nazis.”
The suspension, gagging, banishing and initial harassment were initiated without charges. A human rights complaint followed a month later from the Vice Provost Melanie Spence Ariemma and her radical Islamist professor friend, Dr. Wael Ramadan. (pictures below).
The charges against me from Spence-Ariemma and Ramadan were based on my criticism of a designated terrorist group, Hamas. They somehow transformed it into a characterisation of me being violent, Islamophobic, and a safety risk to students, as well as bizarrely equating that insulting Hamas made me a threat to children.
Ramadan and Spence-Ariemma supporters within management and faculty immediately escalated the situation with further claims, including accusations of racism, assault, and suggestions that my calling Hamas, a group nurtured through the vile Muslim Brotherhood and all their Nazi alliances, was a threat to classroom safety -all this before any formal charges were presented. Ramadan and Spence-Arimma were not happy merely destroying my livelihood; they wanted to destroy my reputation. On the day I was suspended and a month before I got the Human Rights Complaint from Spence-Ariemma and Ramadan, management and faculty, being directed by Ramadan and Management, began pulling students aside, and saying that I had got into a fight in a classroom and been arrested, as well as impugning my academic record. I have five witnesses and screen captures of alarmed, friendly students, shocked at their university engaging in such open falsehoods. It was no natural gossip; it was management-approved defamation. There was not a scintilla of truth, not a bit. The university refused to stop it; they started it, so why would they stop it? I stood with Israel, and Ramadan and his management cronies were in a rage.
Finlayson must be gone. They will accept Jews and Jew lovers on campus, but we must be silent and bow before the Muslims and Muslim fellow travellers who hate Jews and want the destruction of Israel to be just their starting point.
On the day of my suspension, Spence Ariemma reportedly told faculty and staff that my post (directed to a man in Pakistan calling for the extermination of Israel) was “disgusting” and said I would be terminated, raising concerns about prejudgment and the lack of procedural fairness. Faculty repeated the accusations to their classes. I have witnesses and printed copies of this.
The investigative process that followed has been a sham, an external investigation, with a human rights department that doesn’t believe in the human rights of Jews, with the resulting report lacking basic elements such as dates, witnesses, and specific evidence, offering broad assertions concluding guilt. It was an expensive report offering no element of procedural justice1, delivering what the VP asked for. It might as well have been a blank paper with the word “guilty” scrawled in red crayon. My favourite charge was, “he talked to two girls.” I have no idea, I try not to keep my communication gender exclusive, but that made me guilty of something else, they said, threatening. I have never threatened anyone, not even close.
University of Guelph Interim President Rene Van Acker has indicated, even before the investigation concluded, that “Finlayson should start looking for alternative employment”, further reinforcing concerns about due process violations.
I am a member of two unions, OPSEU and CUPE, which have publicly supported pro-Palestinian positions and have many human rights complaints against them for anti-Semitism. OPSEU 562 has explicitly declined to assist, while CUPE 3913’s response has been minimal. Both unions’ leadership, particularly CUPE Ontario President Fred Hahn, are ideologically aligned with the complainants and thus unwilling to represent them fairly. They are aligned with management.
Meanwhile, Professor Wael Ramadan (X - @waelramadan1948), who has shared hundreds of anti-Israel posts, including many that praise Hamas, call Jews devil worshippers, call for the elimination of Israel and call Jews sub-human and Satanic, has faced no disciplinary action; he was cleared instantly. Despite three human rights complaints and clear violations, he is guilty and has had no sanction at Guelph-Humber or Sheridan College, where he teaches. Until Ramadan deleted his account, he had 70K followers on LinkedIn (a shocking amount for a professor nobody has heard of) and is very well connected.
The university has not only failed to defend my rights to make fair political comments but has actively engaged in a coordinated defamation campaign, threatening me with fines, police involvement, they copy emails to me, (at those rare times they communicate it is usually a threat) with a foreboding division 22 and 23 police cc being indicated. They are savages. And their savagery still is draped in sanctimony; it is truly nauseating.
The WSIB (Worker Safety and Insurance Board) has declared the harassment and attacks on me by management, faculty, students and staff are so extreme that, after a medical examination, and after sleepless nights, threats at my home, strange cars loitering at the base of the driveway etc that I have PTSD, and the university was found fully responsible.
All the posts below are by @waelramadan1948, the protected anti-Semitic professor, and all are criminal offences - “Hate Propaganda” Ramadan violates the Canadian criminal code (318-320). A Jewish person must show the courage to report this to police (see a full report and button above) - I have been turned away because I’m not Jewish. The links above give a more complete analysis. The reports are not speculative; the violations are clear and extreme. The University support it because they support Hamas and hate Jews.
Reshared video explicitly calling Jews “Satanists” and “sub-human,” mocking their intelligence.
Violation Severity: High-level calls Jews Satanists, Sub-human. Listen to the link.

The University has already spent over $400K on legal bills fighting me.
They are completely behind Spence-Ariemma and Ramadan. I have some legal options, though the union’s bad faith and refusal to render aid as my sole legal representative restrict me, the unions have a lot of power, and there is little legal escape when being crushed between anti-Semitic management and anti-Semitic unions.
It is difficult to fight as one man against multi-million-dollar organisations. May God judge them harshly.
Outside my university with Toby and Malibu. I was suddenly suspended some weeks later. The dogs had just been kicked out, but were prepared, both wearing prison uniforms already.
Natural justice requires impartiality, the right to a fair hearing, and the opportunity to respond to allegations. In my case, all elements have been denied. I was suspended without charges, smeared publicly before any process, and denied a neutral tribunal. There was no evidence, dates, or witnesses; everyone was anonymous—just predetermined conclusions. My accusers were also decision-makers, violating the rule against bias. I was gagged, isolated, and threatened for defending myself. My unions refused to represent me. The outcome was declared before the investigation began. This is not due process—it is institutional punishment disguised as procedure. Justice was neither seen nor done. It was Maoist.
