My respect for your exemplary moral/ethical positions, courage (not to mention command of the English language) are immeasurable. I’m confident that millions of Canadians and non-Canadians that are aware of the terrible injustice done to you feel similarly.
While I don’t know enough about “the system“, it sure sounds like you have a very strong case for significant damages, very possibly punitive given the reprehensible behavior of those involved.
